How You Can Help

Hunger Relief

No donation is too small, or too large for that matter. Everything makes a difference.

Volunteer

We value our volunteers. We respect your time commitments and will never ask you to do more than you offer.

Donate

The South Porcupine Food Bank accepts monetary donations as well as food donations. Please contact us to see what’s right for you.

Our Mandate

The South Porcupine Food Bank (SPFB) has been serving Timmins and Area residents for over 30 years, since 1987. Open two days a week, the food bank provides free groceries and hygiene items to people in need or in crisis. Clients are provided with approximately 5-7 days worth of groceries per month. It is operated solely by 30 volunteers who sort, stock the shelves, pack food, and serve clients.

Meals for 232 children and adults per month Makes an Impact

2020 has proven especially tough for a lot of families. We’ve experienced a dramatic increase in the number of adults and children utilizing the SPFB for assistance.

Food for Thought

Did you know?

SPFB pays annual dues to Cochrane Food Bank (northern ON food bank hub serving 14 food banks), under which we are part of Feed Ontario.
